A Laptop of My Own

Working without leaving your home day after day and night after night on a borrowed laptop is no fun. Especially one time it is borrowed back off you. So, for that factor, I feel the time has come for a laptop of my own. Or do I need a desktop? A personal computer or Apple Mac? Or perhaps one of those small palm-held employments would look the part; in spite of everything, it would fit neatly in my handbag.

After much recommendation and deliberation, I go full circle and end up back at the laptop. But where do I start? What are my requirements? Well, my business is a little one, so I do not really need anything top of the range. Yet! I’ll use it essentially for article writing and up-dating my website. Oh! And perhaps a spot of shopping! And I will be the only one using it. Probably!

So I have a look on the net to figure out what other people are purchasing. And what manufacturers are offering. by surprise the English language becomes muffled jargon. Do I surely know what I want?

What memory is required? My husband, a programmer, insists 2GB is what is called for. Added to that is the crucial 2.0TB of storage! Whatever all the things that means! i’m by no means so sure! I fear he may have his own factors for these specifications…

Dell is mentioned; so I go online for a browse. Having found out one within budget that appeals and looks to tick all the boxes, I am by surprise confronted with an array of extras – all of which serve to push up the price.

So I pull the reigns in. maybe I do not really require a lap-top of my own. perhaps my husband’s will suffice in spite of everything.
Neither a borrower nor a lender be – well so much for Shakespeare – it gives the look to work for us…
